no lights and horn when locking doors

i installed my rear strut bar the other day and now when i lock my doors the turn signals dont flash and the horn doesnt sound.

i noticed these two wires just hangin when i was putting everything back together:

is it possible that those being disconnected are causing this problem, or is it a blown fuse. my rear defroster still works, turn signals work, and horn works. any ideas?

highly doubt this is it but my door didnt shut fully one time and then i had the same problems until i reclosed the door

Mine does that to. The door still locks, but you dont get the indication that it does via lights and horn.

^^i think all the proteges do this. its a feature to let you know one of your doors is open

Ya i noticed that...kind of a nice thing....make sure all your doors are closed...then try to lock it....when it happened the first time i was like wtf...then i opened and then closed my door agian...made sure it was closed and everything worked fine (first)

What are those wires btw?

i have no idea what those are for. i have everything torn out again and im trying to figure out what the go to. all my doors are fully closed. i really dont want to take it to the stealership. theres no possible way they can say my mods have voided that part of my warranty (glad i atleast still have the electrical stuff covered). there are no connections for them anywhere. its very frustrating. all my fuses look good too. i really donw want to have to start tearing apart more of my car to figure out where those two stupid wires go to.

Those wires are for the trunk light, it is on the left side panel. You would have unplugged them when you took the panel off. I have the same 2 wires hanging off my car right now cause the panel is off.

My lights still flash when I lock the car though. So I will assume that it is something else.

well, that was very odd. all of a sudden everything has started working again. strange.

Sounds like you might have a sticky door pin or something wasn't closed just right.
