Night Terrors.....

this has nothing to do with night terrors, but i have weird control over my dreams

i can control what happens in my dreams by talking to myself in them and i can actually tell myself to wake up and i will wake right up

i have alot of sex dreams and in certain situations, like public sex, which would be way to embarrassing to do in real life i just tell myself in my dream that it is a dream and all the people are fake and dont matter and i just go at it with the girl in the middle of a mall or something while people just walk right by

can anyone else control their dreams like this?

works pretty good:)

I wish I had your problem. When you figure it out...be sure to let me know. :D

I've been experiencing night terrors with my six year old son recently. He seems to get them when he gets stressed out about stuff (that's how we found out his 10 year old brother's friends were picking on him). Its pretty common in kids his age.

Is it possible that the imminent birth of your child is causing you some anxiety?

From what I have gathered and researched the most common age of people who suffer are that of 6 to 10 year olds. I feel sorry for the little guy, the fear that you feel is so unimaginable! When I was working with the police department I had been in a number of life and death situations, guns pulled on me, knives, you name it. During these times I was scared, anyone would be......however during Night Terrors I am 1,000 times more scared. I can't imagine how a child would deal with that kind of fear.

As for the soon to come birth of my son, I don't feel stressed about it. I am extremely excited and want him to arrive now, I don't want to wait anymore. I honestly don't feel any stress in regards to that issue, just extreme joy and excitment!

Just curious... do you have older bothers or sisters??? Cause that would explain the large ball chasing the smaller one around. Just a thought.

nope, no brothers or sisters and I was also not picked on nor picked on people

Well, dont know what to tell ya then. Thats the easiest explaination. Either that or you watched too many episodes of Willy Wonka. Maybe you thought that blueberry was gonna get ya. lol

ok, so as of the past few weeks, I have gotten these every night all of a sudden...and wow...man, like, they are so freaky..I don't even know what happens, all I know, is I feel like I'm dreaming, but it's just a whirl...and as I feel this, I feel like I'm waking up..and the next thing I know, I'm sitting up, sweating, quivering, feeling very anxious, nervous, scared, excited, and wierd all at once...I'm gonna see a doc real soon bout this. It's freaking me out..the other night I woke up, and both my hands hurt..and my walls have little pock marks from my hands now.

Blueberry? Oh yeah that blueberry was the little smartass chick who wouldn't listen when the "W" man told not to eat that s***!
:)
They had to roll that ho off and drain her.
Yep, she got a fierce juicing.

Sup guys!
I just found this thread and I have some experience with things like this and some good input, although its nothing anyone else has said yet. Most people will probably blow what i say off, but I've seen some pretty crazy stuff...

Anyways, i've experienced night terrors a few times, but i also frequently experience what is called "scissorlock"-when you wake up paralyzed or when you are in that pre-sleep conscious state (kinda like when you are sleeping in class but you can still hear the teacher) and you lock up.

I believe much of it to be spiritual warfare. I'm not a particularly stressed out guy, im a senior in college, although i do have my plate full with work and being the coordinator of my fellowship, i'm pretty laid back. It seems a lot of times we try to prescribe medicine or treatment for conditions or weird occurrences but we fail to realize that there really is a spiritual side to things. I guess its just because we live in such a high-tech culture in America and stuff, but i have friends who are missionaries in like indonesia and stuff who see possession and witchcraft and stuff quite frequently (they've shown me videos!@!). Since we don't see these things, oftentimes we don't really believe in them, and when they come up we label them as social or mental conditions. That's just my opinion. I don't mean to start like a religious battle or arguments or anything, this is just my experience.

So, when i do experience these things, all i do is start praying. One time i was trying to take nap sitting up in the library with my head on my knees, and all of a sudden it was like I got frozen in ice. I couldn't breathe, couldn't move any part of my body, but i was totally conscious. After hollering at Jesus for like 20-30 seconds, it was fine. These things never get too out of hand when I holler at Him :D

I know what i've said might offend some people and i know that it's pretty unorthodox and stuff, but I truly believe what i've said, especially since i experience these things frequently.
