New MSP Short-Ram Intake

It looks like we have at least 10 people who want in on this.

Oh, & red like this AEM might look cool...

If they get it done before December, and the numbers are atleast as good as the CAI's, I'm down.

It's not really about the #s though. Insidious ran a 14.3 with just this SRI & a boost controller.

Yeah that is awsome, forgot about that. Then forget about the "numbers." I just need it to be done in time if I am going to get one. It opbviously works, that is all I really meant by numbers.

Would you guys be interested in a Bosch BPV included with the intake for an extra $20 ($235 total)? With that you wouldn't have to take off the "special one-time clamps" on the stock BPV.

Not sure I'm understanding this - which special one time clamps are we talking about here? And why would we have to take them off otherwise? Also, if I'm unable to get in on this first group buy, would I be able to purchase it for a similar price at a later date? Thanks a lot.

Also, on a matter of opinion here, if you guys ever plan on upgrading your intercoolers (think long term), then the SRI should work out better then (the air reaching the cylinders will be cool anyway).

Can some1 justify and quantify that our stock bpv is leaky?

If I remember correctly, awhile back different members tested and found that the bpv was not leaking and that it is suffecient for the application...

I stand corrected.........sorry, wait a heat shield? I still don't see it. It just doesn't sound like you get enough for the money. Does it include a kick ass filter?

II-Savy, read the whole thread first. It's not JUST a SRI, it's also a heat shield & a Bosch BPV. There are also a lot of parts involved in this kit. If you don't want it, don't buy it. It's definately worth the $$ though.

It's a Bosch diverter valve (referred to as a bypass valve on here), not a BOV. Just making sure you understand the difference.
