NEW Injen Cold Air Intake for Gen 3 6

Nevermind I looked it up. There is some law that they cannot void a car's warranty unless they can prove the modified part is somehow the cause of the issue.

Just curious, is the CAI a good first choice when deciding to add HP to your car?

More noise is gained than HP. It won't drop you 0-60 by even .2 of a second.

I have done CAI on my Acura CL Sport about 11 years ago. That was a V6 so it sounded with an impressive growl. As for the power gain, I would say very, very little, if any. That was the last CAI I ever did on my subsequent cars, including the 2004 G35X I traded in for the Mazda. Personally, we would gain little if any with our 2.5 4 banger. That tiny gain would not be even noticed in acceleration. It's the louder noise you hear makes you think that it's going faster! I am not familiar with the 2.5 engine potential, but I do know that to achieve a meaningful gain in HP, you will need a tuner to go with the CEI. But then, it just may very well void your engine warranty if trouble surfaces later even it's not tuner related. I would not get a CAI for my Mazda. If a turbo charger ever comes out, that's a different story! My 0.02.

Not to change the subject, I see you have a RX8. Well balanced car! I almost bought a RX7 some years back, some pretty years back. I still regret it that I did not!

I wouldn't hold my breathe for a turbo setup on high compression motor.

Just received my Injen intake, (SP6073P) sadly it does not fit cars with i-Eloop! (unamused)
Yes..I can verify that the I-eloop cars can not fit the Injen CAI. The filter winds up sitting where the super capacitor is nestled. :( I'm going to have to find a way to mod the stock airbox..... Any ideas?

looks like 156.8 hp to 165.6 hp & 161.05 tq to 170.98 but it's small and somewhat blurry

about 9hp and 11tq

That's good news, I lost faith in CAIs when I kept hearing back from people who lost power.

How low down does the filter sit on this? Im looking at this and the Corksport one but I'm worried about weather and sucking up water with the Injen.
