Yup turned out to be a leak, the shop fixed that and extened my ahnger frame so now i got goot clearance. After running the car for 5 days now it sounds more like stock at idle and low rpm and then sounds way cool at higher rpms. Very sweet system.

thanks to everyone for their help~

sorry but i didnt feel like searching through a thousand post thread.

by just installing the exhaust properly and extending the o2 sensor properly, will the car not throw a CEL?
thanks

Wow this did become a long thread. I think jumped in somewhere around pg. 7 but cant' find it anymore.

Anyhow...I'm happy you all are happy with your purchases. This may be the way I go this winter.

I've had this exhaust for over 6 months and I've never thrown a CEL.

Am I still able to get one of these? or was the post like 123987234 pages back about it being limited true? i really want one, as long as there was a way to get rid of the backfiring problem

also the clunking on the crossmember, but it looks like thats easily fixed.

I dont get any backfiring unless I want it to, but thats bad for the cat.

Actually, I get backfires on high RPM shifts too.

Why is it bad for the cat?

The gas is eating away the inside of the cat, I can make it backfire by bliping the throttle in low rpms with the clutch in, will do it at high rpm shifts if i am not switching pedals evenly, flooding it with gas a little then it gets shot out.

I don't think backfire is all that bad.

I wish this exhaust came cateless. I wonder how hard it would be to have the cat removed.

that makes me almost not want to get one.

Depends on how bad it is..
