New Dyno Baseline. 325 HP

i was boosting 10 to 12psi last year ... and first gear will always be a problem. i remember him saying that he lost traction on top of 3rd gear sometimes when it would hit 18psi or something

not sure how it is now, havent been in his car for a while.

he did it last week form what he told me ... he floored it while in 3rd gear and it just broke

he showed me the gear on saturday ...you know how gears usually have teeth ? yea well they're all gone lol

nice numbers btw, you didn't tell me you went to trac last month ? i woulda went with you .... cant believe i have to wait another like 3 weeks before i can go with my car =(

sounds like i need to bump up my plans for the car dolly and the spare tranny...

Focus how many of the following were true when the gear stripped:
1) You had been driving more than 15 minutes
2) You were driving modestly hard/full throttle etc during that time
3) you were fully engaged in the gear when it popped

Do you have any pictures of the gear that was opposite of the one that stripped? Also, what fluid are you using in the tranny?

so what should I do if i dont want to blow my tranny? Start up my car, drive slowly for under 5 minutes and then race?

holy cow mang....300 + hp is insane. awesome job. You should post a how to make 300 + horsepower thread.

look at the stuff mentionned in his sig, + a full port polish job on the intake/exhaust manifold + head .... and a few spare trannys

Well duhh :) ..... I have looked at his sig, but people are saying he has a different turbo on the car, but "HIS SIG" doesn't mention it.

I will never go to the steps that he did to build my car, not even near it, but it's interesting to read about what people do, down to which head studs or main bearings, and so on. I personally enjoy reading that stuff.

i enjoy reading all that stuff too, especially things like Turfburn's rebuild tread (read all 16 pages yesterday)

he has a modified GT28RS ... different compressor/wheel i think i'm not sure. hopefully he'll post in here today

I run an Evo 3 16G... slightly more efficient and higher CFM output than a standard "Big" 16G.... and spools like a T25 yet can support a clean 400 horse or more in our cars... my spool and wheel spin shall own you all LOL :) I'd be curious to drive one of these GT fitted cars as I haven't experienced one firsthand and do wonder how they feel. My car never feels like it is turboed because there isn't any lag.. I can build like 5 psi by 2500 rpm's... kinda sick :).

my T25 builds 10psi before 2500rpm =)

but i'm sure 5psi on your turbo owns 10psi on mine lol

how did you manage to get that to bolt up? And what did it cost ya? Sounds amazing!

I have a spool manifold meant for 16G style flanges... cost was 650 bucks shipped with it modified and ported... they are VERY affordable turbos that can push roughly 550 cfm or 40-42 lbs (mass flow rate)

I'll have to see how much I can spool now... and it has been 9 months since I drove the car... but boost comes on EARLY with it... much earlier and smoother than the MSP when I was driving my brother's occasionally.

let us see some pics of it all....oh wait, maybe I should search first then ask questions later, ok, to later, I'm going to post this anyway...... even if I find pics...haha, maybe i need to get to sleep...
