New CX5 owner question

I recently purchased a 2025 CX-5 Premium Turbo, Regarding the Toyo A36 tires, first drive of the day the ride feels a little rough, bumpy almost like tires are not well balanced, this lasts for about 2-3 minutes then things smooth out, I live in a cold weather region so tires are cold first drive, I did notice this on my test drive (different vehicle) but it did smooth out,
So I guess my question is do others feel a bit of a rough ride first drive in cold weather with the Toyo A36 tires.
Really like the car otherwise

Thanks

All tires get hard in cold weather, so yes.

Also check the pressure and make sure they are correct.

It's called "square tires". The portion of the tire that touches ground freezes into that flat shape and takes a bit a movement for the rubber to heat up and become flexible enough again. I find it happens below about -15C for non-winter tires. Low tire pressure (which also happens in cold weather) makes it worse.

I highly recommend investing in some dedicated winter tires if you live where this happens. Even if you don't get snow/ice, regular tires rubber compound becomes very hard (like a hockey puck) in cold temps and you lose a massive amount of traction. Winter tires stay flexible in cold temps and will have much better grip even on dry pavement.

I live in Montana so we get cold weather..I actually think the Toyo A36 handled winter weather just fine.. I did put Michelin CC2's on last year and they work great too. We do a lot of winter road trips and neither tire has let me down. I do way more of this type of driving as we go back and forth between Minnesota often
