Forged motor completed today, runs very nice.
Testing 2.25" pipes early next week.

Do You Think Ill Need A Custom Tune With A J Pipe Back Exhaust?

You should probably wait until you have more mods to make the tune more worthwhile. However, the unichip EBC has been know to have larger spikes with exhaust systems such as Vibrant, GHL, etc.

I will always recommend a tune, it will always yield more gains. You have to remember that the "Unichip" is not just a chip, it is a plug and play engine management system, similiar to the emanage or hondata. it is fully tunable.

Yeah, a custom tune is always better. But if you have to pay someone to dyno-tune everytime you do any mod, it will end up costing a lot of $$. If a j-pipe back exhaust is the only mod you plan on doing any time soon, then a custom tune is a better idea.

By the way Cullen (edit: or, whoever I am talking to), where are you guys located in Florida? I may have to come down and see you sometime soon. There is a Unichip tuner closer, but they are not very familar with these cars.

Yup, I found that my Unichip EBC does not spike much (1psi max) with the J-pipe back open 3" exhaust.....

It gotta have something to do with the S-pipe and J-pipe.

Turboback always spikes....

I can still help ya....

In what sense.
The only tuner in michigan is a mini shop and I know for sure that they will charge a lot since they do not know MSP.
I am just testing the waters.

Yes it is pricey to jump on the dyno and get tuned. However, SU will have different maps readily available for specific applications that we can save to your Unichip. These maps will be free to swap out if you get the Unichip from us. The Unichip and the stock map helps with hesitation and drivability quite a bit, with mods and without a tune. We are in Central. FL.

Custom maps here depending on what restrictions you have removed.

hard pipe UPDATES and PICS! also, are these going to be sold separate or ONLY as a pair?

Thanks
Jeff

just double checking to be sure but we can relocate the maf with these pipes and a bov can be put on the cold pipe at the same time correct? because this is why i am waiting so long for these and i have cash in hand!

oh yea one more quick question if we do get the maf relocate option do we still get the piece that was cut out of the cold pipe so we can keep our cai setup?

I am not a rep for Cullen or Street Unit but these are going to be dynoed on my car, and there was a bit of mix-up on the dyno day between us. I missed a phone call, Cullen dynoed something else, I couldn't get back to him, etc. Like I said, I can't talk for SU but I know for a fact the pipes are done but there's a hold up getting them tested for one reason or another.

I got my money on hand to buy them the day of the dyno, though. :)
