Nice buy! I have a 15 with 165k miles. Honestly, I’ve done very little outside of regular maintenance and wear items the car has been outstanding! I will say I’m not a big fan of the 2026. The no buttons or knobs is a big 😖 for me! I do like that they dropped the turbo though. I think ramming to much air and fuel is not good for a lot of 4 bangers!
why not have both..so old guys like me who still have a pulse and want a little more zoom zoom. curious why just because you don't want a turbo why would you be happy it was not available to those who want it? more choices the better. not a knock just curious why?

I'm in favor of watching other people driving cars that have absolutely crazy engines. Whatever you want to do with your car entertains me. Any engine that I'm going to own however has to be able to have a very long life---whether it's in a car, a lawn mower, generator set or boat. I do think it's unfortunate that turbocharged engines are being sold as a mass market items. Enthusiasts are familiar with the additional maintenance requirements; little old grandmothers may not be.

My brother in-law is later 70’s and is at about 150,000 miles on his 2019 cx5 turbo. Nothing but oil changes they like to road trip so put a ton of miles on. His other car is a honda 2000S also has high miles. Nothing much additional maintenance other than plugs at 40000 instead of 80000 but that is simple to do

It's the oil changes that a lot of owners don't comprehend. So many people neglect basic maintenance already and a turbo car needs it more frequently.
Plus the extra horsepower can be harder on drivetrain and suspension components but that depends a lot on driving style and probably isn't significant.
