NEPOC Event: Meet/Dyno-Day 6/4/2005 OFFICIAL.

alejandro,

wish you luck with your whole project and hell there are many people who will give you help who have done similar things to their protetge's.

cars are a very expensive expense to own, drive and maintain; can't forget insurance, which can be expensive if you are not a good driver......

i believe i am at a point in my life where my income has to be directed towards other areas/actions not including my car......maybe later down the road, I can have extra funds that can be used for modding my car????

we will see.......

ya, i could never have done what i'm doing when i was 20-30, was doing all that same stuff, buying house... having a family etc...i'm kinda on the other side of all that now, son getting married, daughter grad's from umass today....interesting stuff!

i am still unsure where i am headed with the whole turbo thing. i got to thinking this weekend and well its hell expensive to go turbo, i mean turbo kit 4-5k another 1-3k on forged internals and the like, then 1-3 on miscelanious, and it just all adds up. i love modding my car but i dont think i could take a big enough hit going turbo at the moment. i cant blow an engine and school comes first for me. whatever money i make in the summer goes into my car so it somewhat limits my spending and i am new to this whole thing and growing in knowledge so i am unsure about turbo. simple bolt ons are a yes. def going on the car is a SRI, cat back exhaust, and a mid pipe. after that we shall see...i am wanting to finish up the suspension a bit, do some odds and ends maybe some show. mint blue body kit is the route i am going even though its hella expensive. we shall see, ill get the ball rolling on this once i see how much money ill be spending cause i also want to try to build a new pc and maybe save some money for x-box 360 for the fall but who knows. only time will tell really...thank you all for your kind words.

ryan i wish you well with your future and getting a new home and starting the next step in your life. it is not easy but still i wish you luck and only the best for you.

bazooka joe, wish id knew your name but congrats on your children and what they have accomplished i hope the wedding goes well and the graduation is a rain free beautiful day. i wish you luck as well with your car and everything that comes your way.

and for the rest of nepoc, the few ive spoken with and am starting to know i wish you all best of luck and with life and hope to put faces to forum names at the dyno meet. ive been looking forward to see in person all the beautiful cars and get to know a bunch of different people as well. everyone ive spoken with so far is helpful and kind with their advice so i thank you all.

and now the end of my cheesy rant back to dyno/meet talk or whatever but my officail threadjack is over.

74 dollars for a hotel room isn't too bad, right? I wonder if I can get more off because I'm a AAA+ member? The hotel is like 5miles from the dyno place.

you could probably find a place for 50. I thought 70s was now the going rate but the days in i stayed at in michigan the other weekend was only 51 AAA rate. it was how should I put this.......a hole........but i didnt care

If it was just me I would just drive over in the morning. However my g/f took the day off so she could go and is an hour and a half west of me. There's no way I'm gonna get up at 3:30am to go. I figure for 75$ we can both be happy and less stressed. Hopefully its not a hole, I would never hear the end of it.

i think a lot of members are wondering what your stock speed put out brian......i sure am!

would it be bad if we installed some minor things while we waited for others to dyno? i beleive i will have a short shifter by then and i might have a hood prop kit so id like to know if these could go on the car while i wait to dyno/while we are chilling, itl give us something to do besides stare at dyno of cars time and time again.
