Lime Rock Eve! We have everything organized and ready to go! Liquid Apple Pie is in the jars and ready to travel, along with everything else! Everyone have safe travels and we'll see you all at the track on Friday!

Looking forward to it! Going to miss the parade laps on Friday because Amanda can't take off the day before a long weekend. We'll be rolling in late on Friday and plan to camp until Monday.

and where may it be sean?

Fingers and toes buddy! What happened?

Well of course, a lot of this is due to my wild procrastination. I haven't had the miata on the road yet this year, because I wanted to do the timing belt before I woke 'er up for the year.

I took it in to get that done yesterday (with a 15 month old child, and my lack of know how, I have neither the time nor ability to do it myself). I knew I had a teensy oil leak somewhere on the block (I thought Oleg had that licked when he did the CAS O-Ring and VC gasket), but it turns out it is far worse than imagined. She's leaking pretty badly.

So, it could be one of a few things.
1. VC Gasket is bad: no big deal.
2. CAS O Ring is bad: also no big deal
3. Rear Main Seal: Engine pulled, won't be back by Friday.
4. Oil Pan: Either the subframe in the front needs to be dropped, or the engine needs to be lifted. Either way, won't be back friday.
5. I don't want to think about what five could be.

yeah, it's my own damn fault. if I had taken care of it earlier, it wouldn't have been such an issue.

I have nobody but myself to blame.

NO LIQUID APPLE PIE FOR YOU!!!! SLACKER!!1 Sorry, Sean, wish there were less issues!

The ticket ordering link does not work off the flyer. Call Rob directly to order your tickets.

Camping pass is $100 for the whole weekend for an infield camping spot.

The Mazda Owners' Corral will be located inside Turn One once again!! Can't beat that view!!

We look forward to seeing YOU at the races!!

(Hello my friends!! Looking forward to seeing some of you next weekend at LRP!!)

I just called and booked. $115 for the corral pass (driver), $65 for the wife (weekend spectator), and $85 for camping (he gave me group rate).

The sites are 20x40 and since it isn't NASCAR that won't be super strict about policing things. He said basically whatever you can fit in the spot. It's big enough for a large RV with awning so you should be able to fit 2 cars and 2 tents if people want to share a spot and save money.

I reserved Section B site 224. The sites around me are available as of right now so I suggest calling ASAP to make your reservation so we are together. Just tell Rob you want something close to me. If someone already reserved a site, let me know and I'll call back to change mine.

Thanks, Chris!

I forgot about about the apple pie!!! Marlon can you bring some to the Glen????

Have fun people.

Finally had our Miata garage nite yesterday. Got the ZII's on and balanced and the brakes bled. So glad to be rid of the Conti's and have the steering wheel do what it's supposed to.

Working the autox school on Sunday.

Damn, that is a lot of work for that little area. Now I fully understand why my guy said it would be approx. $1000 per side using those dog legs. Look who is sitting in my driveway tonight.....:D Alignment with the used LCA was good but still feels off to me. Of course I haven't really driven the car since getting the Miata so asked the girl child to give me feedback after she drives to school tomorrow. And mom and I decided that we will be taking 1/2 of her paychecks until she has paid $250 or 1/2 of the deductible. Told her it is not punishment but a lesson learned the hard way and that driving is a privilege and if things like this happens there are financial responsibilities that will affect your daily living.

Sean....aw man sorry to hear. Hope it ends up being one of the simple fixes for ya!

Glad you finally got the tires on Bruce, you've been waiting a while.

Not sure if I'll make The Glen. Some announcements at work may be coming down in June. (ughdance)

Glad to hear you've got the car fixed and back. Good idea to get her to pay some of the costs. Little sample of life in the real world.

Well, as most of you know by now, it's going to be a miata-less weekend for me.

So apparently I've reached the point of old car ownership where all the seals and gaskets decide they are tired. It's an 18 year old car with all original equipment. I can't complain.

Here's the laundry list of things that need to be done:
Timing belt and water pump (the original point of me bringing the car in)
Cam seals (part of timing belt)
Oil pan/gasket
Rear Main Seal
Clutch (might as well, the engine is out)
Aux belts.

It's a lot of work, and frankly the majority of last night I was thinking that this is the end of the road for me and my roadster...... But I'm not going to let her go without a fight. She's still a spry youngster at 70k miles and 18 years. If I drop the cash now, we have years of fun ahead of us.

Most of that list is what I just completed at the beginning of spring. Didn't pull the engine or transmission though, so hoping my rear main seal holds up at least to my next clutch change.

It makes life SO much easier if you're doing that amount of work.

With the front bumper, front swaybar, turbo, radiator, and water lines removed anyway for other stuff, I didn't find any room related problems :) Though yes, it would have been even easier than that with the engine out. Not enough for me to pull the engine as well though, especially the pain of unmounting the transmission while still attached to the PPF, or unmounting the transmission from the PPF.
