the pain of unmounting the transmission while still attached to the PPF, or unmounting the transmission from the PPF.

? You pull 1 of the 2 diff bolts, loosen the other, then pull the 3 bolts out of the transmission, and it just comes apart. Not sure what pain there is there...

Having pulled the 99 Miata's engine twice, the transmission once, and my RX-8's transmission 4 times, all over about 2 years... there is plenty of pain there, even if it is "simple" :)

Feel free to call it the emotional pain of a whimp if you would like, I won't object!

Happy (dreary) Friday everyone.

Welp, the pollen is off my car but now it's a mess lol. Silly 2014's LOVE to kick dirt and much up onto the sides of the car, I really need some small mud guards. The $30 ones on eBay are said to work just fine so maybe I'll grab those.

So the fiance and I are sick of people right now lol, so we're heading into the mountains near the lakes in NH for the weekend instead of to the event, sorry folks I'll catch you next time.

Quick plug also - June 29th (Sunday) we're having a pre-climb cruise for fun. Going to run the Mohawk Trail and up and around the mountain to scope out everything and take down some numbers so we can plan the climb to a T. Having a BBQ lunch from the place that's going to cater our event also. Anyone's welcome to join :)

I'll be away on the 29th but sounds like a fun time.

Just got back from LRP. It's a long drive in the truck but totally worth it! Passed through a few more rain storms on the way home so it will need a thorough cleaning this week. Great seeing everyone! Wish we could have stayed Sunday. It felt too short this year.

What do u mean Bruce? Oh yeah, silly Canadians. Lol

Hope everyone had a safe drive home from LRP. Heading to the in laws later today for a bbq.

13.8 mph average for the REPU this weekend. That's 360 miles towing the camper and about 80 miles without. Not too shabby. Although I do keep it under 65 on the highway. I wonder if the CX9 can do better.

Great seeing everyone, looking forward to seeing those who will be attending Watkins Glen! Should be a lot of fun, with some great racing!

Morning.

I hermitized yesterday. Back to work today.

Jeff,

I am sure you could tell my frustration on 209 south Sunday. The inanely slow cars doing under the speed limit for no reason was working on my exhaustion to make me rather cranky. It continued all the way to the last street before my house, with someone doing 20 in a 35.

I was in a rather unpleasant mood by the time I got home and had to work to avoid taking it out on my wife.

Yikes...that number makes me cringe. Take the CX9 to the Glen to compare?

Yes it was and thankfully the weather held out....for the most part.

We finished painting the swing and base in the backyard, I then washed all three cars and mowed the lawn before we headed to her parents for a bbq. Got home around nine and crashed.

Yes I could and lold when you threw your arms up behind your head on the rollbar. That flatbed in front of us was a jack ass....he could have gone faster than he was but was being a d1ck. And what was up with the Subie that pulled out from Shawnee and then crawled along before abruptly pulling into a driveway with no warning?! I found that little shortcut out quite a few years ago when we went to Fernwood for dance competitions. Avoided traffice around the flea market. But I got there via Buttermilk Falls Road. Could have shaved a few more minutes off that drive if I had known I could use that road directly from 80. Thankfully there wasn't a lot of traffic on 33 so I was pretty mellow when I finally pulled in. Good job on not taking it out on the wife!
