So I need to vent... This week has been a bad week.
First off I had the flu that knocked me out for 4 days this week......
Second is my grandfather was admitted to the hospital for diagnosis and it came back for pancreatic cancer... He was fighting prostate cancer for a few years now, but this came out of nowhere for all of us....
My family is devastated and my boss allowed me special time off to make a quick visit early. He has comes to terms with it early and getting all his finals in order... I still can't accept it because I feel like I am the closest grandson they have. No matter what, I was the one grandson who always called or visited on the holidays, called on their birthdays because I remembered, etc.....
This is not my week...at all...

EPS is crap, feels like there's no power steering, and that's saying something given the fact that it's so small. Also whoooo 71 horsepower! It is ace for carrying bikes, though.

Swapped my snow tires on last night and changed things up a bit. Wife and kids hate it but I kinda like it.

Thanks Bruce and Mark and you can shove that sunny warm weather where the sun don't shine Bruce! Frost on the ground here the last two mornings. lol
Had a nice productive day yesterday. Changed the oil in my sis-in-laws Pilot, the wife's 3 and swapped on her snow tires. When I grabbed the last tire out of shed I noticed that two wheel weights had fallen off of one. So ran them over to Jack Williams and had all four balanced. Took the rack off the 3 and then gave them both a nice pre-winter bath. On our way to my sis-in-laws Halloween party, we were involved in an accident. My daughter was making a right turn, had signaled well in advance, and the girl behind us didn't see (?) until the last second and proceeded to try and pass us on the right?! Thankfully we are all safe but Blue suffered damage to the front PS fender and bumper! I was a bit taken aback since I was sitting in the front passenger seat. She started to make the turn and next thing I know a car goes flying by my door and smacks into the front end. I'll call the insurance co. tomorrow and get the ball rolling on getting her fixed.

The only frost here is on my beer. Glad no one was hurt Jeff, must have scared your daughter.
Fixed up the bikes, the brake cables were half seized. Been riding them on the beach road which is kind of neat. Saw 2 weddings and a bunch of people flying kites, some interesting shapes. One guy had a bottom torso and legs of a woman, planes, ships and sharks. I love beach life except for the sand that gets in the car.

glad to hear no one got hurt, so how does someone pass you on the righ if your in the right lane for a right turn?
you have not ONE thing to complain about suck it up!
I bet 100 bucks says the person was texting while driving. I'm glad to hear you all are safe and nothing bad happened.

My wife was thinking the same thing Chris but none of us saw whether she had a phone in hand.
Daughter is shaken up a little bit. We were going to go practice parking this morning but she didn't want to. Now the trick will be getting her back behind the wheel. We've reassured her that she did everything right, just something that couldn't be avoided.
Mahk, no right turn lane on this stretch of road, it was a two lane highway. Girl initially said that she saw the left turn signal on so she was passing on the right and once we turned right she realized too late??? Later changed it to say that she couldn't tell for sure due to the sun glare. Basically she wasn't giving enough of a cushion.

Start her off slow... I will admit, I was the same way given my background (demo derby). I would suggest getting her comfy in a parking lot without people... She can practice there and get used to driving..
The ultimate chance would be enroll her in a Skip Barber weekend. hahahahaha

No worries, guys I plan on getting her back out soon. At dinner last night she actually suggested about using the driving course located behind the license center in town.
Also went on to say that her friend told her the route they use for the driving test so she'd like to do that as well to get familiar with it. If we don't start there my intentions were going to start her back up in a parking lot to get her confidence back. Um, how about Skip Barber for dad? I'm def. signing her up for the Tire Rack Street Survival course....just waiting for one closer to home. She missed the cutoff for the one in Allentown earlier this month by one month.
