NEMOC Random BS Thread

all y'all!

I got mad audio equipment on the way... or something. new head unit, JBL MS-8 and some componentz... P5 is gonna be slammin.

Sounds strange coming from a white russian.

So I am planning to attend the Renegade Miata Oct 20th Autox. Any of you going??

Isn't that the default flavor of Russian?

Never heard of a black russian?

Where is everyone????

Tried the new BBQ that came with our motor home. Hooked it up and found no gas getting to the bbq. Found there was a valve to open near the outlet but it could not open all the way due to the way it was installed. Fixed that and but still no gas. Looked at the outlet and found that it was clogged. Cleaned it out with a toothpick and finally got cooking.

Bruce, I absorb culture.

Damn, let me think on it. I have to entertain my bro who's coming up for the weekend. Let me see what I can do.

Ran my goal half marathon today (1:47:24.. not as fast as I'd like, but a personal record anyways)! Ryan (Protege52003) was there too! Here be us, blingin' the medals:

It was Canada-cold. Like 45 degrees.

Spent some more time researching wheel tire options for the REPU. In short, what are your thoughts on an A/T tire mounted on a white cragar rim?

The photo above is a '95 Aussi Ford Courier with BF Goodrich A/T T/A KO tires. I have no idea what size though. They are pretty skinny so my guess is that they are either 195/75R14 or 215/75R15 since those are the only small sizes offered in that tire.

After some more internet searches, this is the BF Goodrich 195/75R14 tire. It looks close to the photo above but its hard to tell for sure. The 14 is the proper outer diameter for the REPU (almost identical to OEM 185/80R14) while the 15 is 8% too large and would probably be way too big on the REPU.

I suppose another option is the BF Goodrich muscle car tire which comes in 205/70R14. This would probably be a better highway option but might not give the "truck" look. It also doesn't have a great load rating if I plan to tow with the REPU and is 1.2% smaller in diameter.

If I want to step up to a 15" rim, my options are even more limited. An exact fit would be 195/70R15 like this bland tire. It's basically an OEM van tire.

Hmm Not sure chris. I like the aussie rims. But as to the tire size? As you say, if you plan on hauling get the right tire.

Happy hump day all. Busy weekend coming up. Last day at work tomorrow and then friday to Massena NY to pickup the tow gear. Saturday to install, SUnday to store Mary's car and Monday hit the road.

Be in Boston Tuesday.

Been doing a lot of riding. 1.5 hours this morning before work, another 4.5 scheduled for this weekend. I should probably get around to fixing the car, finally, this weekend...

I haven't touched a bike in weeks. I haven't been feeling well at all lately. Overstressed about the upcoming trip I think.

I logged 25 miles of mud covered singletrack at Kingdom Trails in Vermont last weekend. 3,000ft of elevation.

Highlight of the ride was definitely a trail called Sidewinder. Here's a video of it...but we rode it in the wet, covered in leaves and mud. Jump to 1:00 for when it gets real interesting.

Yesterday I did 7 miles in town. Hoping to put 10 miles in tomorrow. The new bike absorbs miles at twice the rate of my old bike. I'm loving it.

Hey Chris,

You any good at trailbuilding? We have to fix up the velocross course in Londonderry on the 3rd/4th and could use help.

Me like. This is the best one so far, IMHO.
Maybe somebody can fotochop a pic for further consideration??
