chris, my son is in the exact same situation! he'll owe about that much as well and wants that for the DP on the new house...only prob, he needs to live in MA...even the 300k houses here need work or in a not so great area, or too far away from the job...stinks!
Exactly. I was just visiting my parents and they seemed convinced I could get a decent home in Foxboro for 300-350K, possibly a foreclosure. I checked and the only stuff on the market would need lots of TLC. Based on some quick searching $500K in Foxboro is equal to $350K in Londonderry. Meaning if I wanted a house of the same quality and size I'd be paying about 33% more or i'd be looking at foreclosures. Bidding on foreclosures opens up a whole new can-o-worms. Getting financing is totally different and you really don't know what you are getting into until its too late.

It's pretty sad actually, that we are being pushed out of the towns we grew up in. Amanda and I make comparatively better money than my parents did at our age yet we can't afford to live in the same area as them...and that's without having kids too.

Morning all. Arrived back at 930 last nite. Pretty tired. My sister is coming tomorrow, need a break from family after this for a while.

Just checking on the mileage I covered in trips this summer in Mia;
fishing weekend 780
Nova Scotia 1,700
Tennessee 2,450
dad babysitting 780

That's 5,710, which doesn't include other trips like LimeRock, Jenn garage day and other NEPOC trips.

Chris, I can go any weekend except for Oct 16 and 23. Are Non US citizens allowed?

Chris H, are you looking at NH?

mornin ya'll, chirs, chris, jenn, phen, jeff, bruce....
i have the "pats don't win" hangover this am....ugh! :(

so how about sat nov 2nd for the clean/install day?

Nuffin much!

Morning all! Drove the truck to work and found out that I can peel out in it pretty easily.. oops.

Get some sandbags for the back of that bad boy. Those help traction. A lot! Check your bedliner (if you have one). There should be some slots for some 2x6's. You can put the bags between the 2x6's.

Took the P5 to the dealer today to replace the wheel bearing, again. Tech says they likely over-torqued it, as the wheel bearings are very sensitive to the torque... 180 ft/lbs is the spec. Still, it's 20K miles and 2 years out later, so it's way out of shop's warranty.

Right rear endlink was disintegrated, was replaced... tech says car runs strong, no misfires, should be able to get another 1.5-2 years out of it.

Much nicer with a new wheel bearing, no more grinding noise!

Brake pedal has gone soft, seems to sink a little... Tech thinks master cylinder may be on its way out (leaking around seals).

Got the following Mazda Full Circle report:

Lol Oleg... super sweet.

Sean - yeah I have a bedliner, I'll have to figure out how to put some 2x6's in there. I have the extend-a-bed hoop thing so that's a little more weight in the back. Might be able to get sandbags in between that and the tail gate.
