Need some lowering spring advise

haha. your hate for after market springs amuses me. :)

:p

I don't hate aftermarket springs per se. I just have a problem with people thinking they're an improvement when nothing is done to address the underdamped condition that they provide.

I've had aftermarket springs on every car I've ever owned, but they've been properly coupled with appropriate dampers in each case. ;)

haha. ya, i know what you mean.

that dude is correct when using lowering springs --sport dampners or performance struts should be used because the factory spec struts are designed or valved to work together with the factory springs--yes more stress can be put on the stock dampners because you are lowering the center mass of the car--not only are performance struts valved differently but they have a shorter travel which helps in eliminating the bounce

Please tell me you ordered some proper dampers as well...

installed the eibachs plus mazdaspeed rear camber links.

the drop is subtle and very nice.

ride is not much different from stock. will most likely go with yellows or FSDs in the future. but first - sway bars, not sure which yet.

I've had both the Cobb's and H&R's. I can tell you H&R's are nothing like stock, and are not comfortable. That beings said, I love them and wouldn't trade them for the world. They are nice and low and tight, and feel great for me. When I was running the Cobb's I was fairly happy with them, but looking back I think I should have been less happy. They drop it around 1" and felt quite a bit like stock, but they did float.

I'm at 35000 KM's with stock struts running lowering springs the whole time I've owned the car pretty much, and my struts are fine.

how much different is the drop with cobb vs h@r?
