Got a request for you Washington folks. The wife and I are thinking of moving up to WA from Los Angeles. We're think of Bainbridge Island, as it's a small population, seems to have good schools and has a nice setting. Downsides I can see is that it's a 30-35 minute trip by ferry to Seattle, which is where we will most likely end up working.
What I need is cost of living info, commute issues, job availability and anything else you can think of that might be useful information about living in that area. Anyone who has lived in both LA and the Seattle area and can relate the differences between the two would be really appreciated to chime in.
