03 Mazdaspeed protege wont start. Turn the key all the gauges come on but nothing after that. Replaced the battery,Tested the starter(good) and temp bypassed the clutch switch but still nothing. Any help would be awesome as im riding the shoelace express without this car.

make sure your getting a good connection from your batt. sometimes my car didnt have a good connection and everything would come on but it wouldnt crank.

Do you still have the alarm key fob? Arm the alarm twice so the horn beeps. Then Unlock the car three times. This should reset the starter deactivation from the anti-theft system.

dont have the key fob. bought it from the auction so no original keys. the factory alarm looks disconnected for the horribly installed turbo timer

Have you done any work to the car since the last time it was started? Or was it just driven, parked and now won't start?

Good information. I did not know this. The great thing about these forums is I learn something new every time I come here.

No work to it at all. I drove it to work, home for lunch, then to the electronics store for a project. when i came out i got no start,so i got it rolling a pop started it to get it home. Is there a starter relay im missing somewhere?

I don't think it has anything to do with the alarm if you were able to jump start it.

If you were able to jump start it and the Starter checks out to be good, The next step I would suggest would be to see if the Starter get's power when 'cranking' the key. Keep tracing back the power path until you find the culprit.

You can download the wiring diagram from here: http://www.floptical.net/mazda/
The Starting System is on page 6
The wiring diagram is for a P5 but I think the MSP is the same.

We didnt jump it with cables,we tried that and got nothing. We got it started by pushing it and popping the clutch. I think thats my next step is putting the starter back in an tracing power

If you roll started it then your batt must be making some power. If a batt is so low you can roll start a car. I wonder if it is the alarm.

yeah this alarm is ****** stupid went off twice in the middle of the night and woke me up for no reason im gonna take the shock sensor out and smash it
