Alright, first off, no Honda hating allowed!
It's a 1993 Honda Del Sol S (Automatic) with a 1.5 Liter 4cyl. It's not fast, and was bought with that in mind.
I found this car for my 16 year old sister, and bought it a few months ago for $1,700.00. It had 142,000 miles, 13 inch steel wheels, green painted dash (puke), dent in hood and front cap, and the brake rotors needed turning.
This is the finished product two months later. I replaced the timing belt, water pump, Valve cover gasket, Both CV-joints, tranny fluid, painted the dash back to black, bought a new hood...painted it and the front cap, got some wheels off ebay w/newer BFG's, totally rebuilt the brakes, replaced the fuel filter, cap/rotor/wires/plugs/air filter, added 4 new Kenwood speakers,Head unit, and new antenna.
In all I spent right at $3,000 total for the car and all the work I did on it myself. It was worth it though when she got the car! She was excited as hell, and I think she has been driving the damn thing for about 3 days straight now.. lol. Anyways, I just thought I would share. She was always talking about these and Miatas, but I couldn't find a miata in a auto like she wanted. At any rate, Here's the one pic I had time to take before she jumped in the car and took off!
What do you guys think?
