260hp out of 263 available?

i'm calling bulls***

there's NO WAY you have that little drivetrain loss

Well my bone stock 2004 SRT-4 did 225/242 and it was rated at 215/240.

It's bad marketing for a manufacturer to tell the public that it's entry level mazda 3 is faster than the flagship mazda 6.

I'm leaning towards not bulls***.

plus i think SAE corrected numbers makes the BHP ratings a little lower. I'm afraid that an SAE corrected protege would make it look slower than it is on paper.

IDK I want to believe but have you seen the dyno from automobilemag, it wasn't nearly as good.

What kind of dyno was it on? Are you sure it's measured at the wheel? Let us know please.

compared to the other dynos I have seen this looks pretty high to me

but its still early maybe this is right

The SRT was intentionally underrated. If those numbers were real and accurate, that would = goodnight EVO and STi from a roll. I formerly owned an STI, and that car dynos on average 240whp and 250 torque. Lets just say that my former STI would run rings around my current Speed 6. In fact, it's not even close. I've seen several 220-225whp dynos on the Speed 3 so far, and most Speed 6s are in the 220-230whp range. This is definitely inaccurate, or the car is modified. If the Speed 6 was putting out these numbers or close to the whp number on average, it would be running into the 13s without a problem. The engine is definitely capable of this, and the torque is definitely there, but the HP in most of these vehicles is lacking. The tuning just isn't quite right as of now. :)

the one thing I like about this dyno is that it has the avgHP and torque numbers.....which on this dyno is 176hp avg ...might be nothing...but with all these new features you never know....

how does this differs from the dyno of 215????

how was the TMIC addressed????

94 octane vs. 215 dyno??????

please post this in the dyno section with full details

I kind of hate people downing the mazdaspeed3...give it some time...other dynos and then us as a community can start talking shitabout it's performance...

Id like to thank the member for going out and getting it dyno'd

good point...but there's still alot of questions....I also call NO BULL...

I think the delivery of those HP from your STI is different from the speed6....but the speed6 CAN be a contender...like you said it's in the tune...hopefully COBB can come up with some type of tuning chip for these cars

people can call BS all they want. Those are the numbers it put down. It was a cold day we had the high powered fan right over the TMIC like it should be. Don't believe me? Who cares. Thats what it was and thats it. The dyno is a Dynocom. It reads very similar to a Dynojet. The numbers that it reads are accurate, a bunch of local tuners have used this particular dyno and are seeing the same results as they are on a dynojet or dynapack.

ya have u figured out that there are alot of haters on this site yet.

When someone does a mod/dyno/fart/anything to get power

The logical response are:
First saying say bull s*** and they want to see dyno graphs.

when you get the dyno graphis 1 of 2 things usually happen than.
1. Your dyno sux.
2. Your pull was on the wrong gear. Both 3rd and 4th will not make everyone happy since math has to be done to correct it.

The only way to shut everyone up is have a senior member there to prove you right. Which is very very gay the way people acts.
