MSP manuals

Iwas just wandering if anyone has gotten there hands on a MSP shop manual yet. My dealership was wanting $150.00 for it, and i don't believe haynes or chilton has put one out yet. Is it worth buying or should I wait for another cheaper manual?

there wont be a cheaper manual. The car is in such limited production that more than likely you will never see anything other than the dealer service manuals and any additions mazda feels they need to make to that original.

Well that just sucks. I just figured it might be helpful when I start adding more mods to my car. But I just think $150.00 is way to much money for a friggin book.

If you have a buddy at the dealer you may want to flip through it and see exactly how usefull it is. I have a few from various cars I have owned. Volkswagen New Beetle manual is USELESS! But the Nissan 240Sx and the 300zx Manuals are great and came in handy a bunch. So it is kind of a toss up. What mods are you planning on? That might also help determine if you need it or not.

I was wanting to put a turbo timer in sometime soon. But I was also thinking it may be helpful with electronic boost controllers and anything involving the electrical system. But I dream of maybe one day doing a total overhaul and making it faster than hell. But I want to do all the work myself so that I can learn more

Buy the manual. It's alot for a book but for my previous car the $85 it cost was paid for the first time I used it (replace the timing belt).

Don't think of it as $150 think of it as 3 hrs labour and it's paid for.

They're $150 for the full three-ring binder version. It's currently backordered and you may not be able to score one for another three months. Within a year they *may* release a bound version for about $100.

Definitely get it. I have 2 Mazda factory repair manuals (94 Miata & 89 626) and they are fantastic. My '00 Celica manuals cost over $200 and are almost completely worthless.

if you can get it, I have access to a scanner that scans 50ppm and software to make pdf's...

Anybody able to find the manual in stock?

Does anyone know of any place that has the factory service manual in stock? I'd love to get my hands on one ASAP, but I know that they are on backorder and I fear that it may be many months before they are available through my local dealerships.

Oh, and the 3-ring binder is definitely the way to go. I love being able to just take the pages that I need with me when I go out to work on the car!

check ebay I've seen em on there plenty of times

Yeah, I just ordered one of those versions for the P5 on CD for $9, but I haven't seen a real printed version yet. I'll keep my eyes peeled, though. Thanks!

I got one actually there are two one for the engine and one for the electrical. They are huge would take forever to copy them. I paid I think $180.00 I forget it was awhile back.

I ordered one for my 2000 ES 2 years ago and it's still on backorder!!:'( :'( That gives you an idea of how hard it is to get your hands on these things!:'(

I've accepted the fact that I will never get it....which is fine because I don't even own that car anymore!
