Dr. Sound, there is no reason they'd need to cut that beam - they could either have the sunroof open over the roof, or below the beam as I'm guessing it happens in ES proteges

drew- yea i'll prolly take the lip off as it would be very difficult with it still attached. And as for the fogs...no pic or anything, but they're Pilot hyperwhite somethings...basically, generic 4-5" fogs that are light blue and give a "HID" type white light, with a L.E.D. ring around them. I picked them up at Autozone for like 30-40 bucks.

and man, if you'da said something a few days ago, i'd prolly trade my lip for some p5 fogs np. but eh...i duno if i can return these ones. do the p5 fogs just fit in perfectly nice and ez? (thus the reason people trade them...?) (monkey) <-- really random smiley wtf.

it's been discussed before.
they cut it. period.
if u dont believe me do a search.

i know 2 people personally with sunroofs on their MSPs, beam is cut into to put the gearing and motor assembly.
that's why the roof liner sits lower.

the structural integrity is weakened.

in crash tests, i believe, mazda used proteges without sunroof.

as for being ******..........i dont know.
this is what it looked like when my car flipped 12 times.
it would have looked much worse if i had a sunroof.

Just in case you think you won't flip 12 times, maybe 1 or 2....

Here are a few pics of my car that flipped 1 time. (Technically 1/2 because it landed on the roof.)

Now just imagine that roof with a less than 100% support beam. (nervous)

that's totally different.
comparing the design of both cars is like comparing apples to oranges.

i'm saying: MSP LOOSES STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY WITH SUNROOF.

First Topic: ok... i would like a sunroof but i also chose safety.

Second Topic: I think if you take off the 3.5 lip it needs a DGM lip or lowered or something, I don't like stock height for a yellow speed. (even with 3.5 lip).

Third Topic: I haven't heard anything on the functionality of the MP3 vs 3.5 spoiler but can't make too much of a difference w/ our car.

Fourth Topic: HOW DID YOU ROLL YOUR CAR 12 TIMES!!! Somehow I missed that.
