but still, why take the stuff off........hmm...."look at me i'm gonna be different"

I didnt buy mine because it had a lip and spoiler.

I wish the spoiler wasnt on there sometimes.

I hope you know when you had the sunroof installed they had to cut a structural beam that protect occupants in case of a rollover?

Is the roof in the msp any different than the roof in the sedan? I doubt it.

I bought my p5 with a sunroof. I doubt Mazda would offer that as an option if it lowerd the safety rating of the car...

When I had the headliner out of my car, it didn't look as though a sunroof would be large enough to interfere with the beam. This is when I thought that I should look into getting one.

yea you bought it because of the whole package of the car....and the lip kit is part of it.

Sets it apart from a regular pro.

do you think they care? a sunroof makes the car less safe and less rigid. No sunroof for me, unless it's a cruiser!

I saw a thread on here from a mazda tech who said on the MSP, the main supports beam is larger and in the middle, as opposed to the sedan, which has two smaller ones...one toward the front, and one toward the back.
There are pictures of a wrecked spicy orange that rolled down a hill several times, and you can clearly see the beam that saved his life.

IMO I don't think the 03.5 will never look as good as the 03's do without the front lip, probably because of the colors(dunno)
The moral of the story is:
03.5's look best w lip
03's look best w/o the lip

imo the msp's without without a lip or a spoiler looks retarded...removing them makes the car look so much cheaper and less sporty...especially when there are other appearence mods,i.e. hood, grille....looks ricey...just my opinion

At one point in time I would have agreed with you, but being as my car doesn't have a lip or a spoiler I would have just say its a difference in taste. I personally never really liked the spoiler or the attention it got me. It wasn't originally my choice to remove the spoiler though. A truck that decided to rear end me going 40mph while I was stopped took it off for me, although I did eventually decide not to put one back on. I am more into the clean, sleek, sleeper look. Last summer my car was all CF'd out and that was all fine and dandy but I have gone back to my roots which is more go than show. The fact that the car looks cheaper and like a base model protege is what I like, hence the reason you will not find the word Mazdaspeed anywhere on my car. It is part of the effect that its just a slow 4 door family seday. Not everyone likes everyone else to know what is done and what to expect. I guess its just me and my evil ways.

Oh yeah this was from last summer and yes I loved it and somewhat miss it but I have moved on to bigger and better plans for the car.

BTW Thanks to people who said they like my car. I dont do it for everyone else to like it ,but rather b.c I like it but its always nice when people agree with me..

Here is a little better pic of the car right now.

looks pretty good, but i guess i'm just used to seeing the 03.5's w/ the lip.

what springs do you have? and are your wheels the msp's powdercoated black?

i have Goldline springs, my wheels atr 2002 p5 rims powdercoated black. I plan on adding the DGM lip when i get the money.

are the p5's just your winter wheels?

the goldline's look good - a little bit lower than i thought they'd be. maybe it's just the picture ...

Honestly, I'd probably take off the spoiler if I didn't have to pay so much to get it filled and painted. I hate that damn thing when I'm trying to merge from a dead stop at a weird angle on the many busy highways of NJ.
