MPT (Miles Per Tank)

i get about 250-300 - depends how i drive. When im pissed i floor it and rev engine to prolly 5000+ rpms in the 1st and 2nd gear but otherwise if im cool calm and collective listenin to my 50 cent then ill conserve my gasoline :) (hand)

wow really? I get 350 on a full tank..of cource I do my shifts mostly around 2500 rpm..and keep it at 2500 (give or take)...but I will get on it on the 1 mile away from my house... a downhill straightaway...fun wide curve to the left...then a steep downhill curve to the right, sharp left into my neighborhood, then another hard right and straight to my house..usually no cars there so I test the stock MP5 suspension lol

I just filled up 12.25 gallons at 350 miles, so I figure I can get pretty close to 400. I usually get 25-30mpg, most of the time in the dead center of that range. I'd say I do 60/40 highway/city driving. I have a lead foot too :D I keep it in 5th once I'm up to speed though (unless it is like a 25mph zone)

Anyyyways... gas sure is expensive. $2.35 for ethanol, I need to stop being a retard and fill up at work (costco) where it is MUCH cheaper.

you guys have to realise i never enter the highway to go to work. its all backed up stop and go freakin streets UGH! and on top of that i need to slow down for the freakin old people DOWN HERE

i have intake-header and i got 50 more miles out of the tank. btw do u run down ur car till u notice that delay when there is no gas left? and u ran 50 miles with the warning light on? :) i dont bother doing that!

nah I typically fill up when the lil light goes on. it goes on w/2 gallons left, so normally if I'm at 340 miles w/the light on, I know I can go at least another 40 miles. So I estimate 380 :).

Something else kinda funny is that I've been driving the car hard, but am still getting very similar gas mileage to when I drive it like a granny (shrug)

My light usually comes on at about 325. I also have 205/45/16 tires which if I remember correctly gives worse milage. With my winter tires, 205/50/16 I get about 280 when the light comes on. I think that has more to do with wasted fuel from warming up the car for a while before driving.
