I was checking the web for parts, and I came across some poly motor mounts.. they said they will prevent wheel hop.. is this true? does anyone have different motor mounts? did they help?

WELL

With this level of boost my car feels like the frontend wants to go into orbit and I was wondering about my motor mounts. I know the harder mounts can cause (supposedly) a great deal of vibration.
I suggest PMing Linuxracer and asking him he can tell you first hand what it is like to install aftermarket mounts.
He can also tell you first hand what it's like to grenade a motor :)

The front one should be easy. the back one is a b****, better if you have your engine out.
Just the front is $60, front and back are around $140?
www.protege5online.com sells them

Would this be a recommended upgrade if you have no plans on pulling the engine? I'm afraid that the labor costs would exceed the feeling of the improved mounts..

You do not have to pull the motor. Although, I did replace mine with the tranny out since I was replacing the clutch at the same time. But, there are people on this board who have done the switch without removing either of these items (FYI, its tough!)

i did both of my motor mounts with my motor in the car. Its a b**** but i can be done. it took me and my buddies a few hours to get the back one in alone. the front takes 5 minutes. the main problem with the back is just having room to move. my personal opinion is its worth it. the vibration with both mounts isnt bad. if you get motor mounts get a grounding kit or sparco plug wires. they help get ride of some of the vibration. If my wife and kid can ride in my car without bitching the vibration cant be that bad.

Anyone other than protege5online carry the AWR mounts? Also...the AWRs should have no problem fitting on the MSP, right?

Well if you to to the AWR website, they tell you to get them from protege5online.com :) It's like Lance (Freekwonder) said.

Look between the hoses here. There are 3 bolts tucked on top of the moutn that point up. They are arranged in a triangular fashion.
