motor mount questions

If its a stud you can try drilling it out with one of those stud extractor bits, or get a long chisel and a hammer and go to town for a few hours and break it.

If those don't work you will have to remove the I take manifold and get a dremal

Thanks. The stud is in good shape, and there's no easy access to the bracket that holds the studs, so I'd rather keep it in one piece. I guess the chisel is next, if I can find one long enough.

I partook in that Oddissey last weekend... what a pain in the ...

I almost burned my electric impact wrench, trying to get the u-bolt in such an angle in which it could put enough oomph on that dreaded bolt. My new motor mounts were replacement off brands and I had to cut some of the excess material before the inserts would slide in

Now I have an electric massage chair because it ended so rigid. I also have ZE cams and the overlap turns my car into an old washing machine. doesnt help that I haven't adjusted the throttle and it idles kinda low. But feeling the exact moment that your on the sweet band of the cams is well worth it

Ha ha. After putting in the front motor mount inserts, they made the car vibrate just a little while stopped at red lights. After putting in the rear motor mounts, the whole car vibrates in parallel with the RPMs. Any loose items in the map pocket in the door cards buzz.

Got the same 'minor' vibes with the front inserts installed as well. Rear mount is still in good shape so I left well enough alone. lol

I removed the front one and got an new front motor mount. I'll be selling it here to see how that works out.
