Mirror says ICE?

Ok, so as some of you know, my car didn't come with a manual.. and i noticed a few times now that on my mirror where the temp is, its comes up saying ICE once and a while.. I just want to clear up why it does that.

My only guess is that it is noticing a fast temperature drop and is saying ice to let me know?

Am i right?

It's just letting you know the exterior temperature is in the frost range. I believe it kicks on at 37~ degrees

I want that mirror. Any ideas how much that might set me back? That's the one thing that I miss from my truck, is the temp and the compass.

Sure ain't. I can tell if it's hot or cold, other than that who gives a s***. Direction is known by what ******* highway I'm on and having a brain. Ever notice how some stuff we come to love is so completely useless?

Anyways, the auto dimming is kinda nice to have as well..... but i am seeing your point.. I really don't see why some people would spend the money to get it if they don't have it.. Mine was just bonus when i bought the car...

On a serious note, just like midrange said, the added bonus would have been nice.

ICE=Below Freezing

I guess the $200 comuter cant make reading that low, anyone ever seen it say HOT? lol, our '00 trailblazer has it and ive seen ice and i also have seen it stop past 110*f and say hot or high or something but I forget.

PS. U think I can swap out mine with the trail blazer mirror? That damn thing just sits in the yard anyways.

My mirror says ICE then it displays the temp. The coldest its shown so far this season is -12.

I have an auto dimming, compass and temp mirror in my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and never use anything but the auto dim feature. I've never been lost enough in a car to need a compass. I find the illuminated numbers to be a distraction anyway......
