Michigan Mazda Drive III May 15th

If we can ever get another Sunday drive, I'll be in. But I'm out as long as they're on Saturdays. I work every Saturday until 5:00PM.

*ATTENTION*

Does anybody have a problem with changing the date to Sunday the 15th?

I'm cool with it. The only reason we did Saturday was because Kevin does Ducati stuff on Sundays. Since he's already bailed on this drive, I have no problems with changing the day.

Sunday works better for me. Then I don't have to skip out on overtime work Saturday morning.

Hah, bailed out! (fuoops) Hardly, my bikes always come before the cage. If you plan this for a Sunday, you will run into our riding group. ;) We ride the route every Sunday if it's not raining meeting at 9:00am and leaving by 9:30am. That was another reason for doing it on Saturdays. It doesn't matter either way to me. We should be able to keep ahead of you anyway.

P.S. I have plenty of Michigan Fun Drive stickers left. Maybe you can pick them up on a Tuesday night at B-dubs or something. I'm sure there are others that still would like to get one. Just collect the $$$, $2 each.

I just meant "bailed" as in has other plans. Not to imply you were slacking off or anything. (smoke)

How many bikes do you usually have on the run? You guys will definitely stay ahead of us but do you think Pickett Fence could handle both groups??
I suppose we could always pray for rain. (shady)

Thanks for your input.

We average about 10-20 riders every week, sometimes more especially early in the year. I'll give the lady at the Pickett Fence a heads up on this date and to plan on having some extra staff. ;) I'm guessing yes considering if you don't include the Subie folks, you'll have a much smaller group.

No need to change days for my sake. There is a chance I might be able to make a Saturday drive in the future (maybe even this one), but Sundays we are closed. Also, I still don't know if I'd be able to make it that Sunday anyways. So I'd hate for you to switch things up and then still have me be a no show.

Yeah, I was just thinking about those Subie folks today. I'd hate to exclude them but if we substitute Ducks for Subies, I guess I wouldn't feel so bad. (drinks)

We'll see what it looks like in a couple weeks, I guess.

I'm gonna try, I'll sign up soon as I know!

i can get a few more people to join that would be more than interested i'm sure, modified focus SVT, couple probe GT's, all adult drivers...

I've also got a few friends that are interested in going, a Saab 900, Civic, Tiburon GT, and maybe that WRX I promised last drive. Once finals are over im going to start working on mine, the door panels are off and the speakers are going in, but it will be up getting springs and the strut brace soon enough.

Well in the stereo part, the back speakers went in without a hitch, and took maybe a half hour to install. The front speakers are another story. I worked on it for about 3 hours last night cutting and making an adaptor to hold the 6.5" midbass in the bottom of the door. I still have to modify the speaker to make room for the screws that hold the adaptor into the doors and change the wiring, then its time for the tweeters. As far as the tweeters go, I have to dremel out the mounting pins from the old stock tweeter and I think im going to epoxy them in behind the stock sail panel to keep them hidden. If I end up trashing my sail panels, then im just gonna fiberglass those sons of bitches and paint them to match the car. I hope to have it done this weekend, but Wednesday through Friday I have finals, so that takes a much higher priority than working on my car unfortunately.

looking kinda small a kane?

Doesn't both me in the least. I'm going out, regardless of who shows up.

Besides, if we end up going on Sunday, it would be better to have fewer people.
