Alright so my girlfriend bought a 2006 Mazda6 V6 (AT Sport tranny) and loves it to death but wants even more zoom zoom. I'm familiar with the 2.5Duratec from my Cougar days but know there have been significant changes to the engine since the evolution into the new 3.0L and would like to know, outside of the standard I/H/E, what other options are there for this motor? Being an Auto, i know theres damn near no room up there to boost this thing without chopping the hell outta the front end so N/A is probably the best choice here. oh and we're going to be spending all summer working on it's ability to take the twisties even faster so to all who are getting the impression we want a straight line snoozefest car, it's going to be more of a road courser than a drag strip car.

Anyways...having trouble finding Internals for the Mazda version of the 3.0 and was hoping you all could help out.

(so much easier shopping for my MP5 LOL)

there isnt a whole lot out for the 6s

a couple people have put free flowing headers on the car, an apparantly it makes it sound like s***.
edit* wont let me post the other sites, ill send you the other sites over aim

the 247 6 community is mostly speeds, and not so many modded NA 6s.

That's what i'm finding is that theres basically nothing for it without custom building a Turbo kit for it. I might talk to Ken and see what he has up his sleeves.

The biggest barrier for the AJ going FI is the lack of tuning solution. Fortunately, it's being worked on as we speak.

Raynman, I have been talking to Phil @ Motec and he told me they might be interested in doing a little exploration with our NA V6's.

Just to let you know, they were going to use a 2.4 DISI in the Hyper Sport Lotus, they ran a piggy back system to the ECU and the car put out over 500HP and they ran it for 24 hours straight. Unfortunately, the SCCA said they can't run the motor, so they scrapped the project and Lotus went back to the Toyota motor.

So we do have hope for our cars in the near future. We are going to talk @ VIR next month.
