2016~2023 Maintenance Items 40k

About to purchase a used 2023 CX-9 with 38k miles. I plan on changing the oil, transfer case oil, rear differential fluid, and air filter. Since it’s nearing 40k, I’ll replace the spark plugs as well.

For the transfer case and diff fluid, I’ve read conflicting information to stick with Mazda’s OEM SG1 fluid. Could I use any equivalent 75w-85 fluid? I really just want to use something that comes in a flex pouch so I can easily squeeze the fluid in, and I see Amsoil offers it.

Mazda's SG1 Hypoid Gear Oil is a 75w-85 GL-4 fluid. If you want to use something different, I'd recommend at least matching that spec.

I personally only have experience using the SG1 with a manual fluid pump. Due to the location of the fill plugs, you might need to use an extension hose with the flex pouches.
