Maff's STS2 Build

From the folks who have actually done back to back testing on the 16" and 15" Bridgestones, the 15" RE-01Rs are actually faster than the 16s. And the 195 is very wide for a 195 tire (about as wide as the 205 RT-615, which is wide for a 205 lol).

Here are the ones I'm looking at:

NEW sizes and specs for April 2008:
15x7.5 6UL
+36 4x100
12.5 lbs
T4 heat treated (no idea what that means)
$149 Silver/machined, $164 Nickel

They're not the lightest wheel on the block, but they're lighter (and better looking:p) than the slips (no offence Korey/Luke) in the same price range. And they're wider and lighter than what I've got now.

Me likey, and that is an awesome price, and they are light to boot!

So what are you going to do with the ATSs?

trust me i very rarly get complimented about my rims most people think they are ugly...but being less than 12lbs is very very nice

(mswerd). Better than signing away my first-born child for the now nearly non-existent 15x7.5 SSRs

not entirely sure yet. I'm thinking about keeping them as 'street' wheels, or for 'away' events so I don't chew up the bridgestones on long highway drives or events that don't count for atlanta points lol. Prolly keep the RT-615s until I can get the new ones then throw some decent rubber on them.

haha I agree

those are gorgeous!
T4: Solution heat-treated and naturally aged to a substantially stable condition. Applies to products which are not cold worked after solution heat-treatment, or in which the effect of cold work in flattening or straightening may not be recognized in applicable specifications.

i didn't realize emilio was going to make a 15x7.5. sweet.

Yep. Miata offset, hubcentric too :). When I originally contacted him about them the ETA was January '08. Apparently that's been pushed back a couple months (shrug)

So, got a little bored this afternoon and was helping out a buddy tuning an MSP for him in Forza2. I ran a race @ the short silverstone track (don't remember its exactly name) and... WTF why can't I do this in real life!?
