Looking to buy a MS3 VERY soon...

So I've been doing a LOT of research and I have my heart set on a Mazdaspeed 3. Now comes the looking for the perfect deal part. I was thinking about saving and waiting until the 2008.5 gray model but I've found something that seems to be a good deal. So I've found a 2007 Grand Touring Mazdaspeed 3(7,600 miles) in the Cosmic Blue with the Nav system and upgrades like a CAI and short shifter by TWM, all season mats, regular mats, car cover, 3m clear bra, shop manual, oil filter kits, wheel locks, cargo net and tinted windows...Still has 28 months factory warranty. All for 24k and he even said he's negotiable. So what do you all think? First time NEW car owner so any advice is helpful. Thanks!

NEGOTIATE

I'd offer like 21. MAYBE. Modified cars are worth less than stock ones.

PS cosmic blue is the fastest color.

That sounds like an ok price for whats inside. I would see if they can come down to $22k being used n all

quite honestly, our cars are not good cars to buy used. you have NO idea what the first driver did to their car (driving it like a maniac), so it's a little too questionable, in my book. i would definitely negotiate the hell out of that...offering 21k is definitely a good start to get him to lower the price, cause 24k is NOT a good price on a used ms3 like that! =/

i agree with these guys. For a used MS3 the price should definitely be lower. Some people payed less for base new ones.

I agree... start at 21K, but I think 24K is waaaay too much for a used turbo with 7600 on the Od. Those could have been the worst 7600 miles that car will ever see.... or not. (naughty)

I'd have to agree... Blue is the fastest color on the road. BUT my Metro Grey Mica is still in the factory... ;)

I say no to that deal. way to high for a used one. I wouldn't pay over 20k for a used one GT or not.

ALL cars no matter WHO makes them drop 20% in value once they get driven off the lot.

And thats 20% from the sticker (NOT including sales tax and fees, those are lost forever.

Figure about 4K off. A dealer would go 2K further to cover his "reconditioning" smog and "safetybullsh*tcoughcough* costs

and given how many juveniles you see here on this site abusing the holy hell out of these cars, I would steer way clear of a used one unless you KNOW how it was taken care of.

And if you are even considering a 24K purchase price, you should be looking at a new one anyways. The difference is not that much and if it is to you, then you are overextending yourself in the first place.

I'd take the fact that it is slightly modified as an indicator that the car was not "babied" when it was driven. you don't put performance parts on cars to drive slow.
