Tonight when I left work, I found another vac/boost leak. When I had the MPI in I was trying everything to get my car to run like I wanted it to (when the problem was totally something else). I had hooked the vac lines to my stock fuel pressure regulator to a boost signal. I later reverted it back to the stock setting, but had to add in a 3-way vaccum T there, with a vaccum cap on the 3rd leg of the T. Well, I went out and started my car up, and remembered that I had thought about hunting for more vaccum leaks earlier, so I popped the hood and put my ear by the intake manifold. Low and behold, that familiar sucking sound that I still hadn't been able to locate. I wiggled a vac line around just for grins, and low and behold, the pitch of the sucking sound changed. (hmm) I did it again, and the same thing, so I gave a closer look. Low and behold, there was a hole in the plastic vaccum T! Looks like the plastic had been melted by hot air. (eek2) I killed the engine, and pulled out my Defi Boost Gauge box from my trusty garage in the trunk (where I had about 2 ft of extra vac line), and replaced the line. Started the car back up, and where my vac reading used to read just at 20, it now read slightly below 20 now. I put my wastegate map back to where it was before. My car pulls again!
