So can my tuner lower my boost psi and fix the issue?

if thats your issue. there are lots of things that can cause a fuel cut or something like that hiccup. Timing, boost, fuel tables, hell even your MAF tables

But the MAP sensor is what controls boost.

No, it doesn't. The map sensor is just a pressure sensor. It reads how much boost (or vac) the intake manifold is seeing at any time. The ECU should be controlling the boost on a stock engine via a wastegate actuator.

okay I worded it wrong. If the MAP sensor is reading wrong then you can't control the boost. if you are pushing more boost (pressure) than the MAP sensor can read, accurately, then you aren't able to control it. Better?

And we can keep discussing what might or might not be causing the issue, but until he does some logging so all the parameters can be looked at, anything we come up with at best is a WAG.

Will overlapped one of his laps in his STi with one of my laps in Fatty for track data. I thought he just had a lap counter in my car. I didn't know it did all this fancy pants stuff! haha

I need to ask the MS3 power guys what they think. Sho said something about spark plugs, but I put new one-step colder plugs (NGK-6510 gapped to .026) in when I swapped the motor and was having the same issue. So I swapped them out about a month ago with the same plugs and still having the issue. Not sure if it's a tuning issue or a mechanical issue.

At the top of the higher gears like 4th and 5th it will hesitate for a quick blip. Maybe fuel cut due to the higher boost? I'm not really watching my Dashhawk on track and I should have logged a couple laps.

Anyone have any ideas?

Only way to tell is with logs. But if it's not spark blow out, which we know it isn't now that you have new plugs...it could be boost cut/fuel cut from overboosting.

Just kidding. Swapped my clutch line to a SS line I've had sitting in my toolbox for a year. haha

After hassling with Pablo's SS clutch line on the Miata I was reminded mine would be a piece of cake. Took me all of 5 mins to do.

Washed/white eraser (dat Dipped lyfe, yO!) Fatty to get her ready for the auto-x I didn't go to due to threats of thunderstorms. That's about it.

Nah... I'm not a fan of standing around outside in thunderstorms either. Only when I'm golfing will I do that.

hahaha... while I agree with Mr. Muffin, this particular site is a small oval so I understand Evan not wanting to drive there afraid of hitting a wall (which a car did BTW, albeit not due to the weather). I wouldn't drive there either if it was raining, but there were mere sprinkles so it was mostly dry.

Driving in the rain would've been fine with the new tires. But the standing around in the rain and muddy infield would suck. So I didn't go.

It was, though good rain gear does wonders. I was on 9" wide slicks (hence the 3' off of every cone). I'm just giving you a hard time, there are sites I wouldn't attend either if it was going to be wet due to safety concerns. I just like posting that pic whenever the opportunity presents itself.

It is a very cool picture, no doubt about it. I like that you can see where you had been.

I don't plan on purposely autocrossing in the rain in the future unless it is on concrete.

That is a cool pic. I didn't make it out there either, I painted my trailer wheels and did some stuff around the house instead. I didn't want to drive 1 hr. to stand in the rain and t-storms.
