LED headlights

whoa, didn't know this was possible. i thought you were talking about the led strip inside the headlight housing, like audis have. When you get them, post pics of before/after.

Sub'd.

Curious to see how bad/good these turn out :)

Id also like to see it. It says its only 220-250 lumens which isn't very bright but for 2 bucks if it looks cool ill get them too

Yeah I tried a set on a Cavalier, but they aren't bright at all. They look ok colour-wise but yeah. Definitely not good for anything but show.

I put a set in the fogs and they just match the color of the HID's in the headlights. Not sure if its worth it for the headlights. And yes one of my HID's does flicker just a bit. And that looks like a constant problem from a ton of P5 owners.

o.O

I also just ordered the LEDs for the map, dome, side turn signals, license plate lights. unfortunatly I predict these will all take 3 weeks to show up cause of the Christmas mail clog up.
/me twiddles his thumbs waiting for these things to show up from Hong Kong.

I'm Excited :D

If your HIDs flicker, try upgrading your fuse to 30a. Stock is 20a, but most HIDs recommend 30a.

Also, a $10 relay will likely fix the problem if the fuse doesn't.

No sense in having a mod that doesn't work right, imo.

just an FYI

the turn signals will likely blink a hella lot faster due to the lower resistance LED's inherently have, you could wire in a resistor to fix it. I'm telling you this because i know some will pull you over because they will think your other turn signal is out when they see one blinking fast. I know this because it's happened to me before.

what kind of resistors are you talking about? 1ohm 20ohm? just put it in line on the positive or negative? or one for both? etc.

so, these where a fail, while they look great. They just weren't bright enough, not even close, looked like I had two dinky flashlights strapped to the hood of my car. I do enough country driving so I need good lights.

Maybe Ill find one that is more than 27 lummens :D

THanks for being the gopher :)

How about some DDM HIDs? They're not uber expensive.

basically the 55w 8000k's look like the reg 35w 6000k.. IMO

5000k HIDs are stunningly bright.

It makes me want to upgrade my Audi but those kits are $200+ and not nearly as easy to install.
