I dunno how to explain it... Its like after the turbo is fully spooled in 1st gear and i shift into second just to "cruise" It's like the turbo has so much pressure in it that it can't handle it and blows out and stops the turbo from spinning and then it spools up again.mp5jeff said:so in second gear it feels like the car bogs down? you are probably losing traction in 1st gear and shifting way too early...take 1st to redline without spinning the tires, then shift into 2nd see if it bogs down at all.
No it doesn't. Only when i hit the gas in 1st... Then again if i continue flooring it in 2nd. Then it doesn't do it at all either.mp5jeff said:does it do it when you are driving normal(not redlining 1st gear)?
Hmmm i see your point about shifting to early... Understood... (bowdown)mp5jeff said:it really sounds like you are just losing traction in 1st and shifting too early...
I think that convertion factor is for N/A cars, but I could be wrong (dunno)ProPartsUSA.COM said:I was at our local track and i ran a 15.318 @ 91.660
60ft time of 2.416 (Only got 2 runs and this was my second..)
@ 2500 elevation you convert it by
Et: x .97
speed: X 1.07
14.858
98.076
Lol is higher altitude worse for turbos or N/A?SDMSP said:I think that convertion factor is for N/A cars, but I could be wrong (dunno)

So turbo charged cars are affected less? Sorry I'm dumb =(SDMSP said:check this link: http://www.nhra.com/2002/sportsman/news/February/021501.html
supercharged and turbocharged cars use half factor
well that's what NHRA thinks, and they came up with the altitude factor.ProPartsUSA.COM said:So turbo charged cars are affected less?
So what would i use as a half factor then? half of the .96? so .98?SDMSP said:well that's what NHRA thinks, and they came up with the altitude factor.
at 2500 elevation your time was 15.318 @ 91.660ProPartsUSA.COM said:So what would i use as a half factor then? half of the .96? so .98?
unless my MSP = really slow... Do you really think thats right! =( The MPH?SDMSP said:at 2500 elevation your time was 15.318 @ 91.660
corrected is:
15.318x.98525=15.092
91.660x1.01555=93.085
I don't know, maybe I'm mistaking (dunno)ProPartsUSA.COM said:unless my MSP = really slow... Do you really think thats right! =( The MPH?
Jesus.
D/P/Exahust and CAI.
15.518x.98525 = 15.289
87.963x1.01555 = 89.331!!! =( No this can't be
I shift at 7k without my boost up'd and stock boost.mp5jeff said:if you are shifting into 2nd too early, that will mess up your e/t and especially your mph..
