Update: I am talking to the vet (I have to call him back soon) but I am hovering around the $1500 mark (due to a $500 donation from my mom). This is, seriously, all the money I have in the world and if it's past $1500 I have to put him down.
This is ******* terrible. I am still remaining positive and trying to pull through for the little guy, but I only have so much to spend. If I go past this I can't afford the gas to go to school, let alone anything else.

a respectable vet would allow you to set up a payment plan. Seriously tho, if it means life or death for the little guy my wife & I would definatley be able to send you a little help

yeah, not to bash the vet your going to, but the clinic I work for always work out a deal with people that are really trying to do the right thing but are short on cash. Its funny how the people that cant afford it are always trying to go way beyond their limits to help save their pets and the people with more than enough money just dont care and usually take the cheapest route out of it. not saying they all do it, but I see it all the time.evilmonkeyMSP said:

our vet did it for us. When we got our Basenji (pic in avatar) 2 years ago we got him from a lady out in the styx & he was sick. When we met him he was coughing & very lathargic but she played it off as being nervous. My wife & I knew something was up so we took him in fear of what would happen. Well he had kennel cough so bad it had developed into pneumonia & he was on his way to being dead if he didnt get help. Our vet was so awesome & worked w/ us becasue we didnt have alot of money at the time. He gave us free meds & looked for the cheapest way to get things done. Needless to say we spent double what we paid for him on med bills alone but he is a healthy & annoying boy today & I wouldnt have it any other way.
