It is the rear right leg right?
i know, i was continuing the humor from me not being a surgeon, like "it was the right rear leg?" but it wasn't "whoops"pluto316 said:Front right, like in my technical drawing.
pluto316 said:Update: I am talking to the vet (I have to call him back soon) but I am hovering around the $1500 mark (due to a $500 donation from my mom). This is, seriously, all the money I have in the world and if it's past $1500 I have to put him down.
This is ******* terrible. I am still remaining positive and trying to pull through for the little guy, but I only have so much to spend. If I go past this I can't afford the gas to go to school, let alone anything else.
pluto316 said:I got off the phone and the vet says he can't give me an estimate on price untill tomorrow because they postponed the surgery till then.
******* hell. I can't take much more of this.

yeah, not to bash the vet your going to, but the clinic I work for always work out a deal with people that are really trying to do the right thing but are short on cash. Its funny how the people that cant afford it are always trying to go way beyond their limits to help save their pets and the people with more than enough money just dont care and usually take the cheapest route out of it. not saying they all do it, but I see it all the time.evilmonkeyMSP said:a respectable vet would allow you to set up a payment plan. Seriously tho, if it means life or death for the little guy my wife & I would definatley be able to send you a little help

****** up that a vet won't help....capitalism at its finest....-pixy- said:When my cat broke his leg it came to 1700 and the vet told us "we do the surgery this week or put him down". We applied for thier payment plan and were denied, we had just bought our house so money and credit wasn't something we had much of. We ended up using all of our savings and splitting the rest over two credit cards. I have been where you are, and it sucks. I would like to make a donation to help.
pluto316 said:So I went to the bank and pulled out $480 cash for the downpayment. He's going under the knife right now, the total is $9something with everything included. The vet said he's not going to go past that no matter what.
So I guess everything worked out in the end. I got it all in savings, but I guess this counts out my FMIC or turbo-back, eh?
Easy come, easy go.
