$99 for a GCN and 4.5 games....I just bought one as a gift for my brother. It comes with the 2 Zelda games on NES, the 2 games on N64 and a lengthy demo of Wind Waker. Not bad for a bill. I'm more impressed with Nintendo than anyone else. Their hardware, while not widely used, is the most powerful console on the market. It's very funny to see people argue over processor speeds and "estimated polygons per second" when they aren't comparing apples to apples. The GCN is basically a Mac G4. The ram used in the GCN while only 48Mb is almost 3 times faster than the 64Mb (shared ram) in the Xbox...we won't even discuss PS2. Also while everyone was huffing about polycounts Factor 5 was punching em out. Someone quoted the GCN could run 4-6million poly's per second.....The first Rogue Squadron on GCN was a rush job and ran 15million poly's per second at 60FPS!! Now who else can do that...and do it as a launch title!! Microsoft has some good games, but no'one has started pushing the limits of these systems yet. I like the Xbox harddrive, no extra memory cards saves money, but i had to spend an extra $150 just to buy the Xbox over the GCN. Until Sega's return in the console market I'll have to say Nintendo is my fav....xbox is like 3rd and PS is dead damn last. I hate everything about that company.
