Just bought a Protg!!
Hey guys I'm brand new to the forum, and happy to say I just purchased a 2001 Protege ES 2.0!
My experience with cars started in 2007 when I bought my first car(and one of my favs) my '95 MX3 RS. When I wrote that off, I used the insurance money to buy a '90 Miata. Sold it cuz there was too many problems, and bought my neighbur's '90 civic hatch (blarf)
I wrote that civic off last week, and now used the insurance money to buy my Protege!!
I do have a little bit of experience working on cars and am not totally newb to it, so in the future I am excited about having a nice car that I'd actually like to do up.
Tight on money, me and my friends are DIYers... using laundry duct piping as intakes, garden edging as front lips, chicken wire as grills and so on... LOL.
I like to say that I was born Mazda and raised by humans, as Mazda is what i dream at night, one of my dream cars being the FD, followed closely by the Speed3!
But anyways enough of my resum in the near future I will post pics and definately be asking lots of questions!! Looking for common problems and issues with this car will be my main focus in the beginning, then in the future modding it very clean and quick!
