Is this a Grand Touring? Can someone run a VIN?

Is there anyone here that can run a VIN for me to determine what type of CX-9 this is? Dealer is swearing that it is a Grand Touring, but I don't think it is.

VIN: JM3TB38Y270120791

If someone can please help me out here I would really appreciate it!

I checked that site and it doesn't give you the specific model. Only says 1 of 3 possible types.

Why don't you think it's a grand touring? Match up the specs of the Grand Touring with those listed in the car.

Two features on a GT that are very difficult to install post-factory.
1) rain-sensing wiper: check the base of the inside backview mirror. There should be a big 3x3" box. The wiper stoke should have an Auto setting.
2) the SmartKey entry system.
Both are nearly impossible to install on a Touring or Sports model.

VIN usually does not distinguish sub-models that show no differences in body style, engine displacement or transmission types.

It has the SmartKey with the power lift gate

Here are some features it doesn't have that I thought were standard on the GT

Automatic On/Off Headlights
Front Fog/Driving Lights
Rain Sensing Windshield Wipers
Blue "highlight" interior lighting
20 inch wheels (previous owner could have easily went for 18s instead when negotiating, and honestly I prefer the 18s in this case)
Adjustable tilt for headlights
Xenon High Intensity Discharge Headlights

Here's the Edmunds feature list I'm going off of:
http://www.edmunds.com/used/2007/mazda/cx9/100810110/standard.html

We ended up getting the CX-9 because I felt it was a good price even for a touring trim, but on the sales receipt (and the window plaque) it stated that it was a Grand Touring. If this is wrong I'm absolutely going to go after them for additional money off our deal since they misrepresented what they were selling. At the very least I absolutely want to re-do the transaction so that the receipt is correct when it comes to what trim they actually sold me.

I'd really appreciate any help I can get here.

SmartKey entry and power-liftgate are optional on a touring.
So, it seems that your vehicle is a Touring because it has no Rain-sensing wiper and other stuff standard and not optional on Touring.

And make sure it's got ALL the Technical Service Bulletin work done on the vehicle. The 2007 models had quite a few "updates" and fixes. I would list out each TSB and have them sign off that they've all been applied to CYA.

Your observations are correct. The absence of the features stated makes it seem like a Touring instead of a GT.

Here are a few more features that are exclusive to GT models:

* Auto-dimming rear view mirror w/ garage door opener.
* Silver/Wood pattern interior trim.
* Anti-theft perimeter alarm system.
* Outside mirror w/ side marker lights.

Here's hoping they adjust you accordingly!
