Is there a way to "pause" navigation

Hi,

I have a 2016 CX-5 GT with navigation.
I'm wondering if there's a way to "pause" navigation.
For example, you're driving down the Interstate, with your destination city in the Nav. You decide to stop at a rest area. As soon as you take the exit to the rest area, the Nav system says "Route Recalculation". If the rest area requires a turn or two to get to the actual rest stop building, you might hear "Route Recalculation" 2 or 3 or 4 times.

I'm wondering if there's a way to tell it, "I'm just altering my course for a few minutes, please go to sleep and I'll call you when I need your help again" - but without cancelling the route.

(I am aware of how to cancel the route - and I am aware of how to mute the Nav).

I have thought about this myself, that it would be a good feature to have. I don't know, why they don't include it.

The original factory gps navigation may not have this feature, but some aftermarket manufactures such as the seicane S301129 may have it, I'd suggest you take a look at it. (cool)
