mazda need to up rev the manual
Disconnect battery before any bulb change!

even changing oem bulbs mine will not shutoff like most here. All I did was remove the bulb and check the size etc and put it back in.

Too many electronics on modern cars.

dealer is calling Mazda USA trying to fix it under warranty, fingers crossed

Hey Aeglaeca, to that question about the cargo light, so i ended up taking it to the dealer, and pretty much they said the same thing that everyone else has been saying with that same issue, its the back control module, which basically controls the rear lights and cargo lights, luckly my car was still under warranty, so they replaced it with no questions asked, it only took them 2 days to order and replaced it within a few hours, pretty much after they changed that unit, the light did come on and off when the door opened and closed, hopefully you are still under the warranty and can also get this fixed, i also took a look at the bill, and pretty much the whole fix would cost you alittle under 200.....so i guess i will not be using leds in the cargo area from now on.....gl on your issue!!!

question...whats the trick to pull out those license plate bulbs? spend 30mins removing the cover was easy,,but was unable to pull those bulbs out...not much room to reach...ia there any tools needed...let me know...

I literally just did mine seconds ago while at work. I thought I was going to need pliers. Just try to get a good grip and pull while wiggling side to side. The tips of my fingers started to hurt. So make sure to grip it good and pull hard. Or else tiur fingers will hurt too much to continue. But pliers wrapped with some electrical tape for cussion would be quick. I'm trying to figure out how to take out the head lights. I assume twice but can't figure it out with the little space given
