Interior Lighting

well the corksport ones did the same but i didn't blow a fuse fortunately....still waiting on their response to see what they're going to do bout sending me wrong size bulbs

Workin with corksport about kit lights being too big in rear domes
When i recently installed my C/S interior LED lights, i put the rears in with the led card straight up and down. Then slighly push the front contacts towards the front of the vehicle while rotating the lights until you get enough room to fit.

Btw, if you want combination of CREE + SMD, I found this on ebay:

Wait.. the ebay CREE and v-leds CREE are different.
ebay is using XR-E Q5
v-leds is using XP-E, don't know the rating though, should be either R5/R4/Q5/Q4.
R is more efficient than Q, 4 or 5 is the Kelvin degree.

And no, I'm not an expert, I just found this on the net =P

Those Ebay bulbs are too wide to fit into the reflector housing. (CX-5 with Tech)

there isn't anything you need to unscrew....the bulbs just twist lock out of place, are you checking it with car in gear and parking brake off? (you'll obviously need an assistant or some surface to see reflection of lights with)

I had to use a screwdriver on mine; the screws that hold the housing on were so tight I couldn't turn it. Only to find that the Leds's were like 1mm to wide to fit into the housing LoL.

I put them in up and down and rotated like 5-10 degrees, but wont go any further, so yes they are in but i'm looking more max brightness which the manual says you can get by making it lay flat. The circuit board is just barely too long to fit between leads in my Touring, idk if i have tech, i know i have moonroof and bose system, but no LED DRLs....

Yes Mobius. Before you try to rotate it , lightly push the front leads towards the front of the vehicle. IT should spread out enough to let the circuit board fit between it for maximum light.

Quick question, I just put in a LED for my cargo light, the first couple of days it was working, when the door closed it would shut off, now, the light is constant, even when the door is closed, does anybody know why??

Kimchei6 where did you buy your Fog Light LED?

Guys for your information I attempted to buy the H11 CREE LED for my fog light and it didn't work as the housing is prohibiting the H11 to fit, any other brand you have tried?
I have low beam HID 6000k and trying to find a set of FOG light LED that will match the HID set =(

Have you made sure that the switch on the light isn't set to the on position?

I purchased these http://www.v-leds.com/6K-WHITE-11W-LED-DRLFOG-p9798089.html - they fit jsut fine in my GT w/Tech. They also match the xenons pretty well. Still waiting on backorderd pw13 DRL's.

Anyone have any insight on the brake/tail lights, rear signals, and reverse bulbs?

I changed my reverse lights our for LEDS and they seem to put out a shorter beam for actualy backing at night, however it may be that I didn't purchase projector LEDS. I tried an LED in the flasher compartment, but those housings (brakes too) are pre colored. I didnt really see the benefit of buying LEDS to put in there and not being able to really tell the difference.

Having this same issue now. Worked normally at first, now, LED is always on. It does turn off with the switch, so, that
s my workaround, but, any info would be great.

my only guess is that whatever the car is using as the trigger to turn the light on when the door opens, is stuck, making the car/light think the door is open all the time, therefor leaving the light on constantly, but i would think you'd also get an MFD warning that there was a door open, not sure, never noticed if hatch triggered door open alarm

check with mazda to find out what is used to trigger the light when teh hatch opens and see if yours is 'stuck'
