Interior Lighting

not the front console,,,front console work fine at first till i messed up one of the rear one's clip..its the rear one..then all four stoped working..
.tried to remove it last night till 1:30am .

.is they r any device i can purchase to check those fuses? i saw those fuses gave headache...are they any other fuse box beside engine compartment?thanx, sorry to bother u so early...

there's a fuse panel on the left kick panel below dash i believe, no idea how to remove rear console, sorry fuses should pull out relatively easily by hand or with a small tool that might be with the inside fuse panel, failing that, a small pair of needle nose pliers should work if you're gentle with them

interior rear light panel

thanx stromdriver....appreciate ur help....hope all works fine.....

alas....was able to remove the interior rear light console,it was hell of a work ..manage to fix that clip and putting back on was tough its two separate panel has to clip on..had to put my hand thru the opening of sunroof to position the inside panel and lined up with outer panel to attach..found out that one of the 15A fuse was burnt, after replacing the fuse now all lights work and going to returned led bulbs...my car starts right away so, $1.30 fuse was the culprit....so reliefed....thanks (idhitit)

trick to remove license plate bulbs

interesting, i would never have thought they could have put that much light on the plate with the orientation of the end chips

if my wife ends up getting a cx5 also and wants me to do the leds i'll prolly buy this kit from you

question...whats the trick to pull out those license plate bulbs? spend 30mins removing the cover was easy,,but was unable to pull those bulbs out...not much room to reach...ia there any tools needed...let me know...

just keep at it, not easy, you could try a small pair of pliers but i think that might be asking to break the bulb, just hold tight with fingers and wiggle/pull alot

I used a wide rubber band for grip on the bulb, then just wiggled it out. I don't recommend pliers as it can break the bulb and then make it harder to remove.

gracias stromdriver......it came off finally....wiggling was the trick.....

Just reaching out, does anyone know why the LED light upgrade does not work in my CX-5 cargo/trunk area? When I first installed it, it worked but now NOTHING, NO LIGHT, NOT EVEN WITH THE STOCK BULB. I checked the fuses in the engine compartment and kick panel. All my other electronics function fine, just that one light. Any tips? It seems some power is going to it (the LEDS are really dim but the reg light doesnt light up because of power).

you'll have to ask badapple how he fixed his, i didn't have a problem with mine

try disconnecting the light assembly from the power and plugging it back in, do you have a multimeter to see how much voltage is coming out at the plug with out the light plugged in?

there isn't anything you need to unscrew....the bulbs just twist lock out of place, are you checking it with car in gear and parking brake off? (you'll obviously need an assistant or some surface to see reflection of lights with)

question...two screws on each side of the DRL Lights housing

shouldn't have to unscrew i dont think, there's screws on mine but htose are for the bracket that the bulb twist locks into, they just pop out and back in, no tools needed

I did not have to unscrew the DRL socket either. The p13w bulbs I got from Amazon went right in.

The DRL's come on when the car is gear and driving. They will not come on when the car is parked. I learned that the hard way LOL...

Either way, find a nice reflective area of a building and drive your car up to it to see the reflection, or like stromdriver said, have an assistant help you while you gaze at the glory of your CX5!
