Intake or exhaust?

One last (And probably really stupid question) Does installing the exhaust (GHL 3" Turbo back) involve any welding or does it involve clamps? I realize it bolts on to the turbo but how does the s-pipe, and down tube attach? Thanks again for all the help you guys have been great!

it just bolts flange to flange...Its funny i can tell this guy starts out by saying oh i just want to do a little bit of stuff and i bet after he feels the gains of the exhaust he'll be on his way to a project build and be shopping for a disco potato!

You have no idea how true that probably is :)

i highly recommend the Vibrant J-pipe back exhaust. People claim to only gain about 5whp with the Spipe upgrade which makes it a total Turbo back exhaust. There are great sites out there , www.protegegarage.com www.*************.com both have some of the best prices and OUTSTANDING customer service also. They will work with you and have provided everything in my Sig. Please feel free to PM with any questions. And again I would not recommend the GHL exhaust. I havent heard good things about that. Vibrant FTW!!!!!!!!

I thought i remember people saying the additional weight of changing the Spipe put undue stress to the turbo and had to send it back to manufacture. Broken welds and such, something about a flex pipe (i think) or lack of. IMO though jpipe back vs Turbo back is not that beneficial, and the cost and time involved is also considered into that equation.
