does anyone know what size Tee i need. i know its a male and the 2 female ends, but can anyone help me out on what size they are suppse to be??
MY OIL FILTER IS A b**** TO TAKE OFF, i tried taking it off but damn they tightend that thing hard, starting to deform from where i was loosening it from. wft???

I read here that it is a 1/8" BPT thread. Adapters are hard to find. I know there is a thread on it, try a search.

You need to get an 1/8" NPT "T" as most aftermarket oil pressure sensors are 1/8" NPT. The block is indeed an 1/8" BPT. So get an adapter that is 1/8" NPT and 1/8" BPT. Screw the BPT into the block, the NPT into the "T" and put the stock and aftermarket sensors into the "T". Yes the stock is 1/8" BPT, but BPT will thread into NPT (but NPT doesn't thread too nicely into BPT). No problems, should be pretty straight forward once you find the BPT to NPT nipple (I got mine from McMaster-Carr).

or you can do it the easy way and get the Greddy (grex) oil filter adaptor. it goes between your oil filter and your block. you'll need a 1/4 spacer to make it a tight fit. ive had it on for about 10,000 miles and it works great. you can also run oil temp off of it too. takes about 10 min to install

When you install the oil pressure gauge in the car. Does oil actually flow in the car to the gauge or is there just a sensor on the engine firewall side.

autometers uses a sensor. I wouldnt run oil into the car personally. Im sure there are gauges that use the actual pressure. Most ive seen arent mechanical they are electric and use senders.

You can get 2 types of guages, mechanical and electric. The mechanical guage requires a oil line to the back of the guage from the engine.

The electric guage uses a sending unit on the engine block and a wire from the sending unit to the guage.

Sorry for noob question. NPT?? BPT??

well got it installed, i drove around just about everywhere and could not find bpt fittings.
so in the end i just got pissed and asked dad for some help, we ended up just making it the correct thread size and whoala.
just zip tied the stock harness to another set of wires.

as for the npt and bpt, its just like standard and metric.

Well since everyone else helped with the oil pressure gauge i have an idea for getting the oil filter off. I do it all the time. If the filter is on to tight just get some sandpaper and wrap it around the filter to use as an extra grip. It works every time. I dont even use an oil filter wrench anymore.

If you do run a line into your car (which is more reponsive and accurate) use a steel braided line instead of the plastic tube that comes with the oil pressure gauges.

Where would you reccomend getting the steel braided line at?
