Infotainment Screen Security

2014 Mazda3 Hatchback
Hi all:

Just got my 2014 Mazda 3 Hatchback last Saturday and I am loving it so far! Traded in my 2011 Mazda3 Hatchback.

My only complaint really is that the infotainment screen looks somewhat after-market on the dash and I'm paranoid that a would-be burglar might see it and decide they want it for themselves (even though it has zero resale value). The dealer told me it is stationary and cannot be removed which seems like a no-brainer feature to have had.

I got the windows tinted as dark as legally possible and use a sun shade as it's hot as balls in Texas to begin with but I'm just curious if anyone else has the same sentiment toward the screen and what you do to offset that paranoia?

Thanks!

It might look tempting to a thief but I think there would have to be something in addition to tempt someone.

If you really feel you need to cover it, just use the cover the manual, etc. came in. I saw someone else who had done that somewhere. It apparently fits perfectly and the flap even has the Mazda logo on it lol.

I have that paranoia too. I put a baseball cap over it, it fits just right and looks like its just sitting on your dash.
