importing

I did a quick thread search and couldn't find anything.

My friend is looking into importing an rx-7 (fd) from trade car view and has looked into all the legal issues and such but hasn't found blogs about people who have done the same, so I'm trying to help him out.

Have any of you had experience with importing from japan into the US?
What issues did you come across and how much did it cost?

He is also considering shipping it to vancouver and driving it back to boise.

I have a friend who owns 3 skylines and a first gen evo and got them straight out of japan i will talk to him and find out how he gets them here

Why doesn't your friend just buy a RX-7 that is already imported to Canada? It would save a lot of hassle and there is a lot already here.

Kirk, he's trying to save money of the price of the car so he can start building it up quicker.
