Good posts, it would seem that a lot of change could be accomplished by dealing with the why of them coming here. If there were no jobs for them to come here for, because all of the employers that used them before knew that they would get huge fines/penalties/jail time, it seems that may go a long way. Amnesty is not the answer- as people have posted, breaking the law is wrong(in most cases) But what do we do? Send out the national guard doing door to doors along with the INS? I mean there are a lot of illeagals here? Like has been mentioned as well, what about those employers that honestly don't know? Big nasty complicated issue for sure. And to be honest- I won't get a job landscaping or working at McDonalds, not because I am lazy or too proud, but I have skill that I have been developing all my life to ensure my success( and I am not talking about milking the welfare system) Motivating people or eliminating welfare could be a start.... paid to work not sit on your ass might help as well.
