is it me or is when a car hits warranty you hear a new noise every day. when i let off the clutch and im not moving my tranny is like clattering really loud and i have no idea what it is i was wondering if anyone had this problem as well

Yeah I have been having the same problem for a while..I actually just took it into the dealer to see if they could fix it...they called, said they fixed it so i picked it up and still does the same thing...just coming out of a stop, the clutch chatters and sometimes shakes the car a little..kinda sux, so if anyone has any ideas that would be awesome!

Mine does it from a stop to. I still have not figuered out what it is I thought maybe it was my clutch slipping.

If you hear a noise like that when you're in neutral and off the clutch...my vote is for a bad throwout bearing. Does it go away or change when you depress the clutch?

mine does the same and when i took the tranny apart i found out it was a worn clutch and screwd up throout bearing
change them
oem at auto zone 234$
upgraded replacemenet 299-499$

Same problem here too. But I only use factory parts in my car. Sucks for me, I guess i live with it.

My new Spec throwout bearing is louder than stock but I know it is good. It only has 2000k miles on it. My stock one was in there for 103,000 miles and it never made any noise nor my tranny or my clutch. Heck it still had some meat on it.
Good luck...

Are you sure it's the tranny/clutch? I have the GHL dp and it used to rattle right under the shifter. Since i put in the motor mount inserts it has stopped. Or you could be right, in which case you'll have to shell out upwards of 200 for clutch and all. Maybe it'd benefit you to invest in a motor mount first ~$40, less if used.
